Throughout the year, pedagogical check-ins can be organized with parents and/or the student:

  • by phone or video conference (15 to 20 minutes),

  • to review progress, adjust the pace, or work on a specific point.

❓ Frequently asked questions

Do you have questions about how 5th Grade distance learning works? Find the answers to the most frequent questions here to better understand our organization, our tools, and the support offered to families.

📌 My child is advanced or struggling: can they follow the 5th Grade curriculum?

Yes. The 5th Grade curriculum is flexible and differentiated. The activities offered allow each student to progress at their own pace, while benefiting from individualized support. If necessary, we adjust the content or the schedule to better meet specific needs.

📌 Does an adult need to be present during learning?

For 5th Grade students, light supervision is generally sufficient. The goal is to develop their autonomy: the materials, instructions, and platform are designed so that a 10–11-year-old can gradually organize themselves independently, while knowing how to ask for help when needed.

📌 How is my child's progress monitored?

Every assignment, activity, and assessment results in personalized pedagogical feedback. Regular reviews are offered, and family meetings can be organized at any time to discuss progress. A skills booklet is updated to track development throughout the year.

📌 Are there interactions with other children?

Yes. Collective projects, creative workshops, videoconference debates, or cooperative tasks are offered regularly, depending on the themes and group availability. This helps develop social and collaborative skills, which are essential at this age.

📌 Does this curriculum prepare students well for the transition to Middle School?

Absolutely. 5th Grade at Flos Learning Partner reinforces key skills and introduces methodological tools used in 6th Grade (note-taking, work organization, research autonomy). The student finishes the year with solid foundations, an ability to think critically, and to manage projects, alone or in a group.
